Esteemed Performer The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Roles in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at 60 Years Old.

Stateside performer Pat Finn, who appeared in popular TV shows such as Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has succumbed at the age of 60.

The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California on Monday after undergoing treatment for cancer beginning in 2022, as reported by news outlets.

"Pat Finn never met a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his family shared in a message.

They noted that he had "embraced life completely - with happiness and energy".

An Extensive Television Career

His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.

He was also seen in a regular part on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.

He appeared as the character Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in the late 90s, playing a host famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.

Throughout the 90s and 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on numerous popular shows, like:

• King of Queens
• Friends
• That '70s Show
• House

He was most recognized for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.

His film credits encompass It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".

Beyond the Screen

Outside of his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.

He was involved with a comedy group of six called Beer Shark Mice.

"Pat guided, supported, and advised numerous pupils over the years and it would be difficult to find a person anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his relatives stated.

Paying homage, colleague and actor Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. An excellent dad and person," he posted on social media.

The actor is survived by his partner Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
